Longer gameplay and harder puzzlesSeptember 17, 2009 LH422(Washington, USA) 29 out of 29 found this review helpful
I enjoyed the first Mortimer Beckett, and was definitely looking forward to the new one. I was not at all disappointed. This MB has the player travelling through time, seeking out the pieces of objects that will complete puzzles necessary to advance to the next level. The graphics on this game are truly fantastic. We go with Mortimer throughout time- to ancient Egypt, Camelot, a robot lab in the future, and many more. The puzzles are harder than those in the first game, and the game was longer than the first. Those who loved the first MB, or those who enjoy hidden object games generally should definitely try out this game.
I'm not easily impressed, but this game was great.December 31, 2009 Cabin John(Washington, DC) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I usually get tired of hidden object hunts but in this game the objects you hunted were relevant and were related to the puzzles you solve. The graphics were really great, and for the first time I can recall I actually enjoyed the music! It was really fun seeing the different scenarios they came up with throughout history. I thought the "robot age" was going to be corny, but it was the coolest one of all. Very nicely done all around.

I first played Mortimer Beckett and the Spooky Manor and raced through that game in little over an hour and expected this game to be much like that one, but I was wrong I actually struggled to solve some of the puzzles and place the items. This made for a real fun game to play while traveling on a trip. Coming from a family that is addicted to these types of games it was a great relief to have a new one to buckle down and solve. So this game ranks up in the top of my favorite Hidden Secret games
Great graphics, great game play!April 12, 2010 P. B. Sharp(Las Cruces, NM) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The graphics in this game are gorgeous and you will enjoy bombing with Mortimer into one colorful era after another, from the Viking age to the robotic age far in the future. You'll meet Caribbean pirates, Louis XVI of France, wild west Indians, King Arthur and Merlin, and Cleopatra and Zeus! You must search for artifacts that are in several pieces and scattered over each whole time zone and you have to figure out what the function of each tool is and where you need to stick it after you assemble it.
The mini-puzzles are great and hard enough to get you thinking, but they are no pushover. The hidden pieces are very cleverly integrated into the background so you'll need sharp eyes to find them! This download is a bargain and Mortimer and the Time Zone are very special. I loved it!

My hubby bought me this as a gift and paid more than necessary (he doesn't buy on Amazon!) This game is really good! It was very challenging to me, some things more than others. It "kept me busy" for many hours and though I was frustrated a bit in the beginning, once I figured out the idea, I really liked it! I kept the sound off, they were obnoxious to me. I sometimes wished I was locating familiar objects rather than fragments of objects but it was still good. I'm not sure "hidden objects" would be it's best description though, compared to some others I've done. I liked the graphics very much EXCEPT I do not understand why the publishers insist on graphics which of the occult or demonic in nature. It seems in games you have two choices, the occult or cartoonish. This is a shame. One portion of this game especially was extremely distastefull to me. Overall, this is a fun, challenging game for teens and adults. (Of course, kids are smarter than in my day and may be able to do it, but I wouldn't have been able to make 'hide nor hair' of it.) It is not my favorite Hidden Object game but I would recommend it for people who like a good hunt and puzzles!
